The Minns Labor Government is investing in education by making progress on delivering the NEW Melrose Park High School, with designs released for community feedback.

The new Melrose Park high school will be a multi-storey facility, featuring modern classrooms including specialist support classrooms, a library, outdoor learning spaces, landscaping and open play space.

The new public high school is scheduled for completion by Day 1 Term 1, 2027. Planning approval for the new high school is expected in mid-2025.

The new high school will be located at 37 Hope Street, within the Melrose Park north redevelopment precinct, where an area has been rezoned for a school.

The Melrose Park precinct is being redeveloped from primarily industrial uses to a high density residential and mixed-use precinct, providing up to 11,000 new dwellings. The delivery of the new high school will cater to this growing community, as well as adjoining areas, to meet demand across the area.
