Sign the petition to support my fight to make the roads safer around St Pat's Dundas
In 2017, in response to a pedestrian incident, I wrote to the previous Liberal Member for Parramatta raising my concerns about Kissing Point Road. Sadly, no action was taken.
After 12 years of neglect under the Liberals, Kissing Point Road has become increasingly unsafe, particularly for school students at St Patrick’s Marist College Dundas.
Since being elected as the Member for Parramatta, I have joined with St Patrick’s Marist College and the P&C to find a solution.
I raised this issue as a matter of urgency with the Minister for Roads, John Graham.
I was able to secure funding for upgrades to better protect pedestrians crossing Kissing Point Road including:
- A left and right turn arrow for Kissing Point Road and Kirby Street, and
- New kerb ramps on Kissing Point Road.
This will make it safer for kids to get to school.
This is a huge win, but there is more to do. We need a 40km/h school zone.
I'll be working with the school to fight for the safety of local residents, but I need your help.
Please sign my petition for a 40km/h school zone to protect our school kids.
