Members of Parliament are given many opportunities to speak on important issues in their electorates and across the state during the Parliamentary sitting week. These speeches can range from Community Recognition Statements and Private Members Statements which allow members to recognise the achievements and hard work of community members and speak on any matters of concern affecting constituents, to debates on important bills and committee reports in an effort to shape legislation into a form that will work best for the local electorate.

Community Recognition Statements (CRS) are an opportunity for Parliamentarians to congratulate and acknowledge people or groups in our community. If you know anyone in the Parramatta Electorate that volunteers, supports or advocates for the community and deserves to be recognised in Parliament, please consider nominating them for a CRS. You can do this by contacting my office via email at [email protected].
